Congratulations go out to Victoria on her first MuchMusic Video Awards nomination! “Shut Up and Dance” is up for Pop Video of the Year at the 2012 MMVAs.
Tune in to MuchMusic on June 17 live at 8PM EST/5PM PST for the red carpet show, and 9PM EST/6PM PST for the award show.
Victoria Duffield will be meeting fans on Saturday, March 31, in Ottawa as part of Juno Fan Fare.

Victoria will be performing “Shut Up and Dance” and her new hit “Feel” live on Musique Plus this Friday (March 16). If you’re in Quebec, make sure to tune in.
Victoria Duffield’s debut single, Shut Up and Dance, was officially certified platinum in Canada today, while the music video has now been viewed over one million times on YouTube.
With airplay on several different radio formats, the track from the Abbotsford, BC, singer-dancer-songwriter was the No. 1 most played Canadian song overall at Canadian radio for two months. It had previously become the fastest debut single by a Canadian artist to reach the Top 10 at CHR/Top 40 radio in more than two years.
As well, Shut Up and Dance reached No. 1 on MuchMusic’s weekly countdown show.
Victoria will release her second single, Feel, on February 14, when the song is available at iTunes and the video premieres on MuchMusic.
Victoria was up early Friday and popped into The Morning Show, which airs on Global in Toronto. She chatted about filming the music video for single no. 2 (“Feel”) the night before and the massive success of “Shut Up and Dance” (750,000 views on YouTube and counting!).

Warner Music recording artist Victoria Duffield’s debut single, Shut Up and Dance, is an undisputed hit!
The track from the Abbotsford, BC, singer-dancer-songwriter reached the Top 10 on the Canadian CHR/Top 40 radio charts last week after only eight weeks, making Shut Up and Dance the fastest debut single by a Canadian artist to reach the Top 10 in more than two years. Shut Up and Dance is also No. 1 on the Canadian Emerging Artists chart and No. 2 on the overall Canadian Artists chart.
The music video for Shut Up and Dance has been viewed over 500,000 times on YouTube and is Top 20 at MuchMusic, while the single has reached Top 15 at iTunes.
Victoria will perform Shut Up and Dance and her cover of Last Christmas on MuchMusic’s New Music Live this Friday, November 25, and on Toronto’s Breakfast Television on Monday, November 28.
Fans in Toronto can catch Victoria performing at the tree lighting ceremony at Nathan Phillips Square this Saturday, Nov. 26 at 6:45 PM. On the same day in Mississauga, Victoria will perform as part of Celebration Square’s tree lighting festivities, which begin at 7 PM. On Tuesday, November 29 at 7 PM, Victoria will perform during Mix 97’s Prime Time Holiday Special at the Empire Theatre in Belleville, Ontario.
